JOY Academy partners with family, church and community to develop each student spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically through classic academic excellence grounded in God’s Word.

JOY Academy is located in Historic Dayton’s Bluff in Saint Paul. JOY Academy, a ministry of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, opened its doors in the fall of 2009 and is part of a highly recognized national school system, the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Bethlehem Lutheran Church has been faithfully providing Lutheran Christian Education for well over 100 years including JOY Preschool, since 1971, and Child Care. This long standing tradition continues with JOY Academy where students from all walks of life are welcomed with open hearts and minds.

The entire learning experience at JOY Academy is designed to unlock the full potential of every student. We do this by nurturing the love of learning, cultivating the intellect, developing character and partnering with parents to assist each child in reaching their full potential. We support students in becoming responsible, respectful individuals with a strong sense of self as they discover and develop their God-given gifts and abilities.
