Mr. Timothy Raddatz
Principal/Teacher Grades 1 – 3
Mr. Raddatz was born in Michigan and raised in Wisconsin, where he attended a Lutheran grade school and high school. He lettered in two sports and was member of the student council. He attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in Social Studies and an emphasis in coaching.
Upon graduation, Mr. Raddatz was assigned to serve as principal/teacher (upper grades) at St. John’s Lutheran School in Goodhue, Minnesota. In addition, he was athletic director, head of recruitment, coached multiple sports and was the head of church music. While at St. John’s, Timothy established an All Day Kindergarten program along with expanding the Preschool program. While serving at St. John’s, he also began his Graduate work in Educational Leadership.
In 2008, Mr. Raddatz took a call to HOPE Christian School, in inner city Milwaukee, to serve as a math teacher for the upper grades. HOPE Christian School is a member of the Choice Program in Milwaukee. While at HOPE Christian School he was a member of the team assigned to complete the accreditation process for HOPE Christian Schools.
Mr. Raddatz met his wife, Abigail while teaching at HOPE Christian School. They got married on June 12, 2010.
Mr. Raddatz has a tremendous passion for Lutheran urban education. With the Lord’s guidance, he looks forward to a promising future of serving His sheep and lambs at JOY Academy.
