JOY Academy’s combined 1st and 2nd Grade classroom provides a rich learning experience where every child thrives. Mr. Raddatz’s  years of teaching experience are evident in the active learning activities he designs to bring educational content to life.

Grade level and multi-grade learning helps children develop a good sense of belonging, support, security and confidence. Combined grade classes have been found to foster social growth, respect toward others, independence and an increased desire to learn. Research suggests that students in combined grade classes make equal or better gains in basic skills in mathematics and language when compared to an equivalent group of students in a single grade class. This is certainly apparent for students at JOY Academy!
